In my previous post, I recommend some of the best tripod brands. Here I like to add in three more brands. Strictly speaking, they are not tripod because lack of three legs. I would call them “supports”.

Joby Gorillapod – Gorillapod??? Looks more like a “spiderpod” to me. Claims it can support 3kg. The above picture is taken from Joby website, showing the Gorillapod supporting a Canon EOS 350D and EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. Pretty cool. Watch out for the lamp post!

The Pod – Ever since the popularity of iPod, everything tends to take the shape of iPod, the world suddenly become so white. Now, even the name, people like to include “Pod”. Ok. This product have absolutely no relationship w electronics gadget. What so cool about it? Well. The Pod basically is a bean bag with a tripod socket screw. Lame? I heard the sales is pretty good. They even filed patent for it. Read the review to find out how it works.

Quik Pod – Anyone with the dilemma of being a tourist in foreign country, ask a stranger to help you and your girlfriend take photo. Suddenly he/she run away with your camera? If yes, you definitely treasure this product. I don’t know why the inventor call it Quik Pod. To me it looks more like a “mini monopod with a mini ballhead”. I would rather call it “The Stick”.
